Pictures...again =)

proud of her frog tattoo (courtesy of Aunt Nisey) =)

Learning about animals is hard work!

on our one cold day so far this autumn season

they love taking turns catching each other off of the slide (Sophia does too!)

Natalie's favorite bath time hobby...covering brother with bubbles!

Ryan's bitter face after biting a cucumber (that was soaked in vinegar water)

Awwwww...
Natalie: excells in school and brings home tons of information. We are constantly amazed at the amount of knowledge she is accumulating. Earlier this week we listened to her count in French, and yesterday she told us all about her skeleton parts (Mom! Dad! My cranium protects my brain!) Her teacher even sent a note home that says, "Natalie is a spunky bright little girl. She is enthusiastic and learns quickly. I often hear her boosting the confidence of the other children and encouraging them which I find an exceptional characteristic in a child so young." Needless to say, the note is hanging on the fridge and our chests are puffed out with pride. She still likes to give us a hard time at home with exerting her independence. She has been reminding us that she is a big girl now and can help out around the house. So...we let her, of course! She likes to help with everything and basks in the gratitude we bestow upon her for helping. Hey, this phase won't last forever so we are enjoying it while we can. Natalie was measured this past week for her recital costumes in dance. She is already preparing herself for dancing "on the stage." She loves performing! She is a beautiful dancer and absolutely loves dance class. I am very happy with the new studio she is attending this year (she followed her teacher to this new school). It is owned by professional dancers (from Broadway, Disney, and cruise lines). I know our prima ballerina is in great hands and will receive the best instruction! Natalie and Ryan have decided they like teasing each other. Ryan will sneak up on sister and then whack her across the head with a toy. Natalie likes to hug brother and squeeze really hard. *sigh* The sibling stuff will last a lifetime so Daniel and I better get comfortable with it!
Ryan: Goodness, this little guy keeps us busy! He is everywhere all at once, especially since walking is not an option...he must run run run! He is quite inquisitive and starves for knowledge, like his sister. He is into everything and wants to know everything. His vocabulary has exploded this week. His favorite phrase is "Cars go fast!" He is able to tell us what he wants (example: What would you like to eat, Ryan? FRIES!). He also understands what we tell him and what we ask. I am always amazed at children...they are so much smarter than we give them credit. Daniel and I have daydreams of him in Boy Scouts and sports, but for now we are enjoying him as our baby boy playing with cars and blocks on the floor.

Ode to Love

sailing in the waters of Hawaii

Today is a wonderful day. Today my parents celebrate 30 years of marriage! They are currently doing their celebrating in Hawaii. =) In our current world, it is heart-warming to see two people look statistics in the face and say, "Ha! We will stay together!" My folks are an inspiration...dedicated, hard-working, honest, selfless, giving, and team players. I love that about my parents, they are such a good team! And after all the hell us kids put them through, added with all the other crap life dumped in their way...they are a testament to the wedding vow "for better or worse". They are strong in character and in love, and I only pray that my marriage can be as successful. Mom and Dad, thank you for being amazing parents (and grandparents). We would be nothing without you! Happy Anniversary! May God bless you with many more!
