Natalie's Graduation
Natalie is officially a First Grade student. Her school, a top rated school and one of the main reasons we moved to Madisonville, organizes a wonderful end of the year program for the kindergarten classes and their families. The kids sing and there is even a slide show of pictures taken throughout the year of their adventures. It was a beautiful day. Natalie's class met with their teacher (who I am nominating for awards because she is just one in a million) after the program to celebrate their year together with gifts and cake. Ms Helmstetter adored Natalie and we emailed frequently throughout the year about Natalie's progress. Natalie scored way above average in all of her testing and is eager to start another school year. Ms Helmstetter says she is counting down the days until she can have Ryan in her class. =)
Brody's Graduation
My mother and I were privileged to be able to attend my nephew's high school graduation in Texas at the end of May. He will be playing football for East Texas Baptist University. So proud of him! He graduated as an Outstanding Senior. It was a great weekend to be with the family. Natalie was thrilled to be with her cousins Brandie and Angie. Girl time is always so important. Brody and Ryan are inseparable cousins, and Brody even took Ryan for a ride in his red jeep. Ryan couldn't stop talking about it! Good times had by all!
Nikki's Birthday
I share my birthday week with a wonderful friend named Lauren. We decided to throw a joint celebration since we run with the same crowd. It was awesome!!! We did a crawfish boil (160 pounds of crawfish) with a DJ to play music. It was held at the park so the kids could run amok and the adults could relax and enjoy their afternoon. Daniel and Lauren's hubby, Kenny, were in charge of the boil. It was scrumptious! Sooooo many people came! It was wonderful and we are so blessed to have such great people in our lives. My photographer Liz took beautiful shots of the cake and us birthday girls. Overall, it was a spectacular day and we are already planning next year.
